Drawn on a published map, the annotations depict the river and smooth water limits, extended river and partially smooth water limits and the seasonal limits for deep sea sport fishing in the far north. They extend on the east coast from the Parenga-renga Harbour south to the Tukutuku Harbour and on the west coast from the Herekino River and south to the Hokianga Harbour.
