Description

Three men sit round a table in a bar with their beers. One of them is reading a newspaper which has huge headlines reading 'Huatas sentenced'. His friend comments that some people simply cannot help themselves and the third man quips that others help themselves without batting an eyelid. Refers to Donna Awatere-Huata and her husband Wi Huata who have both been found guilty of fraud, and sentenced. Donna Awatere-Huata was an ACT MP who defrauded the Pipi Foundation, a reading programme set up to help underprivileged Maori children.
