Included are records of the National Dance Archive of New Zealand, including administrative records and records collected by the Archive. The main part of the Collection, however, comprises collections relating to particular dancers, or dance groups, which have been donated to the Archive. These include papers relating to Douglas Wright, Modern Dance Group, Gisa Taglicht, various modern dance companies and productions and a smaller amount of ballet material.

Provenance: This collection comprises both the working records of the Dance Archive itself (and some of its predecessor body, the National Dance Federation), as well as various collections of deposited papers that had been given to the Archive by various people associated with dance in New Zealand. The provenance of these deposited collections has not always been recorded by the Archive.

(A2006-144) Two black & white photographs of dancers (PA-Group-00035, PAColl-8973), Further photographs, including Patricia Raine's farewell party (A2003-169) - To Drawings & Prints Collection - Four F E Brown drawings on three sheets - To Ephemera Collection - Posters relating to Douglas Wright productions; 2 other posters; duplicate ballet programmes (mainly visting overseas companies).
