A horse working a treadmill with three men standing on the mill alongside a haystack. The mill appears to be grinding wheat. Mount Taranaki is in the background. Another horse is grazing in a field to the right
Dating: The Lysaght family moved to South Taranaki in 1875; the note about the acquisition of the treadmill is likely to have been made by a later owner, some years after the drawing was done
Inscriptions: Recto - bottom left - Title in pencil. Signed lower right: M.G.C.L.
