In the first frame a man tells his wife that it seems like a good time to buy a bach in the Sounds - he has read in the newspaper that 'prices range from $500,000 to $700,000. In the second frame the man takes a triple Lotto dip. Refers to an article in the 'Marlborough Express' with a headline reading 'Good time to buy bach in Sounds' for the prices mentioned above. The man in the cartoon may 'aspire to own a holiday home in the Marlborough Sounds' but there is no way that he can 'secure that dream'. The New Zealand economy is sluggish, with high unemployment and high levels of debt.
