Description

Upper image shows two inhabitants of the Chukotski Peninsula, Siberia in the right foreground. Two tents are at the left with another figure and two dogs. There are three other figures in the right middle distance and mountains in the background.

The lower image shows seven sailors in a rowing boat in the right foreground; four of them are aiming rifles at the group of walruses in the left foreground. At the far right beyond, the crew of another rowing boat is lifting a walrus carcass from the sea. There are two large sailing ships in the far right distance.
