Description

A man sits watching a report of the royal wedding as his wife reads about the 'Pike River tragedy' in the newspaper. She is so engrossed in the mine tragedy that she is oblivious to the royal wedding. Context; an explosion at the Pike River Mine on 19 November 2010 trapped 29 miners - they did not survive. The wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is to take place on April 29 2011 at the 1000-year-old Westminster Abbey.
