Description

The cartoon shows a miner's helmet bearing a New Zealand flag that has been thrown onto a pile of rocks in the Pike River Mine and casts a bright glow. Refers to the 29 miners trapped inside the Pike River mine after a huge explosion. Rescue is difficult because of the high levels of methane gas in the mine.
