This hospital is sometimes named the Westown Public Hospital. (see 1/2-047946)
Attributed by vendor to William Mathew Hodgkins. However Hodgkins is not known to have visited New Plymouth and this style of realistic drawing of notable buildings of New Plymouth was produced by Taranaki artist Francis Hamar Arden
