Description

Photographed taken in the 1880s by an unidentified photographer, possibly by Pulman Studios for Eric Craig. Shows a group of whakairo carvings collected by Eric Craig from the Bay of Plenty region, possibly Maketu; includes poupou, amo and tekoteko, probably been made for whare or pātaka. The carving on the left appears unfinished with only one eye completed.
