Description

The cartoon depicts Prime Minister, Helen Clark reading a newspaper with a heading that reads 'Wilson blocks privileges hearing'. Behind her stands David Benson-Pope juggling tennis balls and commenting that he can fix Margaret Wilson, the Speaker of the House of Representatives. The implication is that he can stuff a tennis ball in her mouth. The reference is to Margaret Wilson's blocking a privileges' hearing about the accusations made against David Benson-Pope for stuffing a tennis ball into a student's mouth when he was a teacher twenty years ago. Helen Clark is recommending that Benson-Pope be on his best behaviour with Margaret Wilson.
