The cartoon shows Prime Minister John Key and Minister of Energy Gerry Brownlee in a mine dressed in miners' gear and attacking a large 'taxpayers' purse' with pick axes causing wads of dollar notes to fall out. Behind them is a wagon on a small railway labelled 'GST ' which is filled with more wads of dollar notes. John Key tells Gerry Brownlee that he is right about the nation being 'festooned with riches'. Refers to the decision by the government to allow mineral prospecting to take place in national parks, a move that is causing great concern to conservationists.
