Description

The scene shows Santa Claus sitting at the reins of his sleigh. Standing on the sleigh is a group of elves who are Santa's helpers. One elf walks sadly away from the sleigh as Santa tells him that he is sorry but he cannot hire Fijian seasonal labour because of sanctions against Fiji. Refers to sanctions put in place after the 2006 coup in which Commodore Frank Bainimarama ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase.
