- Description
The cartoon shows Prime Minister John Key wagging his finger at Maori Party MP Hone Harawira in an admonishment over his bad behaviour. Refers to Hone Harawira's Paris escapade in which he left the conference he was attending in Brussels for a romantic weekend with his wife in Paris and then, when questioned about it, sent an email containing inflammatory language and anti-pakeha sentiments that landed him in very hot water and required an apology (2 actually) before his position in the Maori Party was confirmed. This cartoon shows the prime minister also taking a rather soft approach to disciplining Harawira.
