Description

Views in pencil and watercolour of Dunedin and Port Chalmers, Flagstaff, Timaru, and a larger number of Akaroa and Pigeon Bay. One sketch (p.36) by Nicholas Chevalier of Duvauchelles Bay, Akaroa. A ship on p.1 and a nikau on p.5.

The artist's notes to himself on the inside back pocket include 'Saturday Apr 4 1858. The sun setting thro Perangi over Pigeon Bay cast Mt Sinclair into a rich purple haze in whcih the shadows were strongly marked.'
