In the first of two frames ACT leader Rodney Hide is shown wearing an ankle bracelet to monitor his whereabouts which refers to Rodney Hide's attack on the use of expenses and perks by politicians and his own use of taxpayers' money to fund his girlfriend's expenses on a recent international trip. In the second frames Maori Party MP Hone Harawira is shown chained to a doghouse with a restraining band round his tongue which refers to the unofficial sidetrip taken by Harawira and his wife to Paris while in Europe at tax-payers' expense. Hone Harawira was widely criticised for this as well as his use of foul language and strong anti-Pakeha comments in an email.
