A clipping reports that the project may be put in mothballs, pending negotiation of the employment of Italian labour. The arm of the FOL turns out the light on the consumer and the taxpayer, but the brighter outlook is that the government just happens to have a large quantity of mothballs on hand. Pictured are large Ministry of Works trucks laden with mothballs coming from the direction of the Maraetai II power project.
