Description

Shows Buller River, between high cliffs at night, the moon breaking through clouds and a canoe containing three or four figures being poled along

Probably dates from Fox, Brunner, Heaphy and Kehu's exploring trip from Nelson to the West Coast of the South Island for 5 months in 1846.
