Description

Shows a meatworks worker hanging upside down on the type of frame that carcases are attached to. A farmer wearing a black vest sharpens his knife as he prepares to cull the meatworker. He begs the meatworker not to take it personally but explains that they always cull surplus stock. In the farmer's pocket is a newspaper with a headline saying 'Works close'. Refers to the closure of the Oringi sheep and lamb processing facility near Dannevirke with a loss of 466 staff.
