A young boy, Stuart Wheeler, of Newtown School, Wellington, on school safety patrol. Shows Stuart holding a `School Patrol STOP' sign (sometimes referred to as a `lolly-pop') in one arm, and using the other arm as a barrier, in front of a pedestrian crossing on a street corner in Newtown. A parked car and houses can be seen in the background. Photograph taken in Sept 1950, by W Walker.
