Description

The cartoon shows a mining scene in a national park. In the forefront Prime Minister John Key says that a tiny bit of the profits for conservation will appease the Greens and Gerry Brownlee Minister for Economic Development comments that they have always been 'national' parks, never Labour. Refers to the likelihood that the government will allow mining to be undertaken in national parks in order to help the economy. Conservationists are up in arms as are many New Zealanders.
