Mounted photographs of: Sophia Hinerangi, a guide at the Pink and White Terraces before the eruption in 1886 and afterwards at Whakarewarewa, dressed in a kakahu with hei tiki, holding a taiaha and with a feather in her hair, captioned Sophia; an old woman wrapped in a blanket smoking a pipe and is captioned Kapai Te Torori (Good tobacco); a woman with moko and two children wrapped in a korowai in front of the raparapa of a meeting house, captioned "Pipi and children"; and a portrait of Ani Doherty. Photographer(s) unidentified.
