- Description
Environment Minister Nick Smith points to his 'Emissions Trading Scheme Plan A, and tells Prime Minister John Key that it certainly won't save the world 'but it should see us through to Copenhagen...' Refers to the Copenhagen climate change conference to be held December 2009 and to the passing by New Zealand of an ETS that according to the cartoon will hold us in good stead for the Copenhagen conference only. Critics suggest that the reason the PM is not attending the conference is that he has nothing to offer.
