- Description
Caricature of Theresa Gattung, CEO of Telecom. She is shown driving a rusty old truck labelled 'Telecom' which is piled high with wads of banknotes. She has arrived at a sign on the road which says, 'Slow. Speed bump'. The reference is to the criticism that Telecom, and in particular Theresa Gattung, have been getting over New Zealand's slow Internet speed, compared with speeds overseas, particularly in Australia. It is to do with the lack of competition in New Zealand which has allowed Telecom to make large profits without sufficiently improving their service.
