Description: Head and shoulders portrait of Wirope Hotereni Taipari. Wirope Hotereni Taipari, b 1834?, and his father Hauauru Taipari, 1800-1880 are sometimes confused for one another. Inscriptions: Backing board verso - Taipari. Maori chief at Thames in the 1800s. He presented the land for St Georges Anglican Church at Thames in 1871. Quantity: 1 b&w original photographic print(s).
