Description

'The Underzone' cartoon strip. Shows six politicians outside the Beehive which is labelled 'creche'. They are all wearing nappies and a gag and so are unable to talk but just emit gas which is caught in the gags and nappies. Someone from the Beehive comments that this is real emission control. Refers to the issue of emission control and the struggle to get the Emissions Trading Scheme' into a shape that will satisfy everyone. The politicians depicted are Prime Minister, Helen Clark, Finance Minister, Michael Cullen, Leader of National, John Key, Co-leader of the Maori Party, Tariana Turia, Leader of NZ First, Winston Peters and Co-leader of the Greens, Jeanette Fitzsimon.
