View of the Chief Post Office in Wellington decorated with neon lights for the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York in 1901. The signs in Maori read, on the left, greetings to the rare flight of the white heron, and on the right welcome to visitors from overseas. Photographer was J Spiller of Christchurch. Image has been retouched in the negative.
