Shows a Russian H-bomber and an RAF Tycoon in the skies. The pilot of the H-bomber asks for string and chewing gum to hold the doors shut. Refers to an incident in August 2007 when Bombers approached British airspace - and defence chiefs scrambled supersonic Eurofighter Typhoon jets to counteract the potential threat.
The close encounter followed an announcement [August 2007] from Vladimir Putin, Russia's president, that bombers should resume the tactics of the Cold War, when incursions by long-range Soviet bombers testing UK air defences were a familiar routine.
