Alexander Mowat - Mementos (books 1-3)

Holograph of Mowat's autobiography, `Mementos'. Three exerise books (1-3) covering up to 1908, 1908-1915 and 1915-1920. He describes his beginnings, family etc, their time in the Falkland Islands where Mowat's father was appointed stock inspector and their further travels to England. He writes of their return, his school at Robin Hood Bay school and going to college, and his various jobs and employment before leaving school and after. He worked on various sheep stations and dairy farms in Marlborough and Mokau in Taranaki.
