Description: Survey map of the fence line along No.5 paddock of Taumahapu Station including the part which adjoins the road from Kereru to Tikokino. What appears to be a track runs alongside most of the fence. Accompanied by an envelope on which is written in pencil 'Distance new fence in No 5'. The envelope is addressed to 'A.G. Mowat, Esq., Taumahapu, Tikokino' and was franked at Napier on 8th December 1943. He describes his beginnings, family etc, their time in the Falkland Islands where Mowat's father was appointed stock inspector and their further travels to England. He writes of their return, his school at Robin Hood Bay school and going to college, and his various jobs and employment before leaving school and after.
