Description

Shows two European women walking, and the Maori guide leading three horses, at the end of the journey from Waitangi to Taheke. The handwritten text below reads: "This is not much like the Taheke, where we arrived at about 5 or 6 pm (The rest of the party are again left out). We rowed down to Herd's Point, arriving there about 12 midnight".

Herd's Point is where the town of Rawene was built.
