Description

Shows several empty cartoon frames with a brush painting a white background and a pen drawing the borders of a cartoon strip. Standing behind the brush and pen is the Prime Minister, Helen Clark, Winston Peters, leader of New Zealand First, and Don Brash leader of the National Party. Helen Clark is telling the brush and pen to "Hurry Up! We're already late starting the strip!!". Winston Peters is combing his hair and Don Brash is looking at his watch. Between Peters and Brash is a suitcase labelled 'Speech bubbles'. The pen is standing on a ladder with a ruler in one hand and is talking to the brush - "Without us they'd have nowhere to strut their stuff - & how much credit do we get!?..". The brush replies "Diddly squat!". In the top right corner is a can of white paint. A comment on the plight or task of the cartoonist.
