In the first of two frames Energy Minister, Gerry Brownlee, and Finance Minister, Bill English, wearing miners' helmets, work with shovel and pick down a mine. Bill English feels that with their mining schemes and budget plans they are going somewhere. The second frame reveals that they are digging a grave beside which lies a coffin representing 'National' and at the head of which is a headstone reading 'R.I.P.' Refers to the imminent 2010 May budget which is likely to reduce taxation but increase the cost of living by increasing GST and also to the intention of the government to explore the mining of schedule 4 land considered to be of high conservation value which cannot at this stage be mined.
