A Maori family sit round a table having a cup of tea. The man comments that Rodney Hide (Minister for Local Government) has threatened to resign if special Maori seats for the super city eventualise. His wife replies with irritation that politicians (Rodney Hide) always tell you what you want to hear but she is certain that he won't deliver. Rodney Hide has indeed threatened resignation if the government decides that there will be Maori seats in the Auckland super city.
