- Description
Shows a man standing at the left and a woman seated at the right. The pose and clothing of the man are likely to be derived from the central figure of Hongi Hika in James Barry's ["The Rev Thomas Kendall and the Maori chiefs Hongi Hika and Waikato. 1820"]. The seated woman has curly hair and is seen in right profile. She is clothed in a loose fabric cloak or robe and her left breast is exposed.
