Description

Shows leader of the National Party John Key pushing a large television set labelled 'TVNZ' over a cliff edge. The cliff is called 'Mount Charter' and there is a road sign that reads 'Caution Slippery Slope'. At the bottom of the cliff where the television has landed is a signpost saying 'Full Privatisation'. Refers to the National Party's plans for TVNZ if it wins the 2008 election. They would once more borrow from Labour by directing the $15 million a year voted to TVNZ to implement its charter requirements to New Zealand on Air instead, which the Government has already done, but it would also instruct TVNZ to again become a robustly commercial broadcaster. There is also the possibility that they would privatize it.
