Text in large reads 'PIKE RIVER MINE' and the title above reads 'Hoping for a CHILE reception'. A second version has the title read 'Hoping for a Chile, not a chilling reception', a third version's title reads 'Hoping for a Chile, not a chilling end' and a fourth version's title poses the question 'A chilling or a Chile end?' Refers to the Pike River Mine disaster of 19th November 2010 - at the time the cartoon was drawn there had been no contact with the miners and the mine was still considered to be too dangerous to allow rescuers to enter. The 'Chile reception is a reference to the successful rescue of 33 miners after a mine collapse in Chile and the hope that New Zealand will have the same outcome.
