Consists of a family bible for the Allison/MacKay family, a log book which records subscriptions to the erection of a memorial to William Race Allison, material accompanying this log book and papers relating to the MacKay and Allison families.

Allison (B R S A) MacKay was the daughter of Caroline Allison and Alexander MacKay, who was a Registrar of the Native Land Court. Her grandfathers were William Race Allison, who was the member for Hobart Town and Alexander MacKay, Judge of the Native Land Court. The `Leon' from whom Allison MacKay received letters was her father's brother Leonard MacKay.
