- Description
Shows a skeleton lying in a hospital bed attached to a drip labelled 'Nat Policies'. A nurse thinks the speed of the drip should be increased but the doctor who has the face of National leader, John Key, wonders why because he thinks the patient looks healthy. At the end of the bed is a clipboard with a graph labelled 'Informed public' which has a steep downward trend. Refers to the lack of information about National's policies in the run up to the 2008 election. In spite of this the National Party is leading strongly in the polls. The title 'The English patient' is on the wall behind the bed and is a reference to a novel by Michael Ondaatje which was made into a very successful film.
