Description

Two groups of Maori, one of men, and the other women and children, seated by a thatch-covered shelter or cooking house, eating corn or kumera. A domestic pig is in the foreground tethered to a log, and another is lying beside a child in the family group. Engravings made from coloured sketches sent to ILN. Artist/engraver unknown.
