- Description
The cartoon shows ACT MP David Garrett in the doctor's surgery having his ears checked by the doctor. The doctor is surprised (or maybe not) to see a lamington inside David Garrett's head. Nearby is a newspaper with headlines that read 'ACT MP advocates a $5,000 grant for parents who abuse their children. In fact it was fellow ACT MP John Boscawen who got the lamington treatment as is clear in the following... During an hour-long Unitec debate attended by Mt Albert by-election candidates in May 2009, ACT's John Boscawen, Labour's David Shearer, National's Melissa Lee and Green Party co- leader Russel Norman, the 'People before Profit' candidate Malcolm France smeared a lamington on John Boscawen's head.
