There has been an eruption of violence following contested elections on December 27, 2007 that have killed hundreds of Kenyans in mainly ethnic attacks. It is hoped that President Mwai Kibaki and opposition leader Raila Odinga can resolve their differences through dialogue instead of confrontation.
