The cartoon shows Green politician Sue Bradford leaving parliament with her suitcases. She says that 'Turei got the fruit... I got the pip!' meaning that Metiria Turei got the co-leadership job when Jeanette Fitzsimons retired from the Green Party leadership and Sue Bradford decided that she would quit parliament at that point as she had also put her hat in the ring for the co-leadership job. Sue Bradford may well have decided that she might have greater influence outside government.
