Personal log kept by Captain Evans when in command of the USSCo ship Koonya, when she towed the Nimrod from Lyttelton to the Antarctic Circle in Jan 1908; also his log of 1908-1909 when in command of SY Nimrod on the second voyage to the Antarctic during the British Antarctic Expedition of 1907-1909 under Lt E H Shackleton; includes brief entries for a voyage of the Kaituna Jul-Aug 1907
