At a dinner at the Hotel Normandie given by the Nairn Brothers on the occasion of the visit of the Hon Frederick Jones, New Zealand Minister of Defence. The Nairn Brothers are New Zealanders from Blenheim who, after the last war, inaugurated the now famous bus service from Damascus to Baghdad. Photograph taken in Beirut on 6 April 1943 by S Wemyss.
