- Description
In the first of two frames a Chinese prison official tells a blindfolded prisoner with the word 'Sanlu' on his shirt that his company has caused many deaths and he wants to know if the prisoner has any last wishes. In the second frame the prisoner asks if he can be retried in New Zealand, the reason for the request being that he holds a newspaper with a headline reading 'Outdoor pursuit centre pleads guilty, individuals unpunished'. Refers to the Chinese milk powder scandal in which a company named 'Sanlu' knowingly allowed melamine to be mixed with milk powder causing illness in thousands of babies and death to several. Refers also to the tragedy at the Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuits Centre when six students and a teacher from Elim Christian College were drowned in a flash flood.
