Description

Prime Minister, Helen Clark, wearing a blood-stained apron, stands beside a dentist's chair holding a razor. Behind her is an open trap door; both the trapdoor and the wall behind it are covered in blood. Labour politicians Dover Samuels and Paul Swain sit waiting for their turn in the barber's seat but as Helen Clark calls for the next customer, each tries to persuade the other to go first. Refers to Helen Clark's beginning to groom politicians for the next elections. The barber's chair and the blood and trapdoor are all references to the tale of Sweeney Todd, a barber who murdered his customers and then slid them through a trapdoor into the crypt of the church next door.
