Description

Shows a classroom where a boy complains to the teacher that he didn't have breakfast because Parekura ate it. A girl adds that he ate hers as well. Between the two children sits Minister of Maori Affairs, Parekura Horomia. Refers to the comment made by Parekura Horomia that many children choose to go without breakfast in order to stay slim. He was criticised by the opposition and by Tariana Turia, co-leader of the Maori Party, for refusing to withdraw his comment and recognise the genuine poverty levels of many children in New Zealand.
