Description

View looking towards St Mary's Cathedral and houses in Hill Street, Thorndon. Graves in the Bolton Street Cemetery are in the immediate foreground. The headstone erected on the grave of Catherine Watkin, wife of James Entwistle Watkin, who died in 1865, can be clearly seen. In the middle distance (visible over the treetops) are Parliament Buildings. Photograph taken by W H W Davis after 1885.
