Miniature versions of seven medals representing knighthoods presented to Sir Julius von Haast, attached on a gold chain. With the suspension button on the left they are: Austria - Order of the Iron Crown, 3rd class; Austria - Order of Franz Josef, Knight; Duchies of Saxony (Germany) - Ernst House order, Knight, 2nd class; Italy - Order of the Crown of Italy, Knight; United Kingdonm - Order of St Michael and St George, Knight; Hesse (Germany) - House Order of Ludwig, Knight, 1st class; Hesse (Germany) - Order of Philipp, Knight 1st class.
